About the Company and the Role:

System-3 is a fast-growing HR-tech start-up based in Toronto, Canada. System-3 enables the accurate identification and assessment of leadership talent through simulation technology and benchmark data, along with leading-edge industrial organizational psychology. Our objective, data-driven approach and our focus on predicting real-life behaviour distinguish us from all other conventional modes of assessment, which focus on personality traits, aptitude or experience. We are currently seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Sales to join our team and help us grow to the next level.

As the Head of Sales at System-3, you will be directly responsible for driving revenue growth. You will be the company’s first sales hire and will report directly to the CEO and Founder. This role has incredible room for impact and growth. You will play a key role in building and executing our sales strategy, collaborating with our Head of Customer Success to drive strong customer relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and experience with HR technology. If you have experience with executive level leadership advisory work – such as, executive search or leadership consulting – that's a bonus!  

The ideal candidate will have:  

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, ideally in progressive sales roles, such as a Business Development Representative or Account Executive.  
  • Has been accountable for winning, managing, and expanding deals.
  • Experience with HR technology, either through working directly for an HR tech vendor, an assessment company, an executive search firm or a leadership consulting firm.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup.
  • A passion and drive for innovative human capital solutions and working in a start-up environment.
  • Bonus: experience in Executive Recruitment or Leadership Consulting.

As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for:  

  • Driving and leading all prospecting activities - including identifying potential clients and generating leads.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to reach and engage with potential clients.
  • Working closely with the CEO and the Head of Customer Success to develop a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the overall business goals.  
  • Overseeing and leading the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals – including writing, calling, meeting, selling, closing, and account management.  
  • Developing and refining the sales processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and prospects.
  • Advising clients on how to maximize the impact of System-3's product.
  • Closing deals and achieving sales targets
